Kikugido Practice Journal

September 8, 2018

Today's children's frame reviewed stances 1-5, and then practiced the details of kumite and the performance that they were interested in.

Children who have been doing swordsmanship for a long time are becoming more skilled, and they are no different from adults in their ability to point out details.

Adults who teach children also notice and learn by pointing out things to children. They are mutually enhancing each other's relationship.

The adult frame also returned from stance 1 to 5, and then the students choreographed their own standing movements during the performance and practiced creating their own performance.

I had never choreographed a sword before, but when I did, I realized that I needed to think about more than just the choreography, and I also realized how difficult it is to communicate my ideas.

It is sometimes frustrating, but I think this kind of experience is very valuable and good.

I think it is a very big step to be able to see what you couldn't see before!

Thanks again for your hard work today.
