Recently, all adults and children have been working on a newly designed sword dance by Master Shimaguchi.

 

 

 

Even though the swing is the same, the stance taken by adults and children, beginners and intermediate, and advanced students differ, and what is required of each level is also different.

 

The first step is to learn the choreography and keep up with the others, and from that point on, the attempt to make the expression more intense is pursued without limit.

 

From green belt and above, coaching is also included in the training.

 

They are expected to bring junior staff up to a certain level in a limited amount of time.

 

 

Today's adult session ended with a sword dance performance in front of everyone, though,

The current trends and issues of each of them were truly apparent.

 

 

This is not the end of the story, of course, for beginners, but intermediate and advanced students will also be seared with their own challenges, and this is by no means the end of the story.

 

There is no beginners' or children's training in the swordsmanship method, and intermediate and advanced students work on the same things as children and beginners, with attention to detail and many times more intensity.

 

The accumulation of such efforts each time gradually enriches the expression, which comes to life in the performance.

 

We will continue to practice hard every day with this belief.
