KENGIDO - KENGIDO - Training Room Journal!

There were two participants in the children's slots today.

We worked on kumite, stance, and sword dance practice.

Although the sword dance was based on something I had done before, I struggled a bit because it was quite different, but I was able to do it all within the practice time.

The next adult slots were for 12 people and one person for experience.
The group was divided into two groups: one for regular rehearsals and the other for the August 6 performance.
After the regular group practiced basic stances with intense attention to detail,

We worked on standing in close proximity and moving back and forth.

The child absorbs with its flexibility,
In any case, by doing exactly what you are told to do, you will improve more and more.
That is a privilege I began to learn as a child.

On the other hand, it is not easy for adults to progress as well as children, though,
It is possible to learn the technique in a different approach.

It is not just swinging the sword without thinking about what you are being told to do, but working with an awareness of the implications of what you are practicing.

It is not a process of "learning" techniques, but of "deepening" them.
By doing so, you should be able to enjoy the technique no matter how old you are.

The two who participated in the children's bracket yesterday were 4th and 5th graders.
Little by little, we began to see situations where Shimaguchi Sensei and Matsumura Shihan-dai encouraged us to think for ourselves.
It would be wonderful if the process of "deepening" could be added to their skill at remembering.

There is no goal in deepening one's art, and age is irrelevant.

We recommend Kigakudo, which starts with "Rei" and teaches communication through "Kamae"!
