Finally, his long held wish has come true, and Mr. Shimaguchi has become the owner of a Japanese sword.
This sword is the work of the highly accomplished
Japanese sword artist Yoh Miyairi, a master craftsman with numerous awards to his name,
His grandfather was Yukihira Miyairi, a Living
National Treasure of Japan.
Our sincere thanks to Director Takamori of Japan Sword Culture Promotion Association, Mr. Koga and Mr. Nakahashi of Arte Co., Ltd and the Japanese Sword artist, Mr. Miyairi. We truly appreciate your support.
This sword will live far longer than any of us. We hope to engrave our spirit into it and pass it onto the next generation.
Photos may not fully capture the beauty of this sword,
but it will be on display at the "Token Konjaku"exhibition at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine from mid-April through June.
If you are visiting the area please take the opportunity to experience the beauty of Japanese swords in person.
