剱伎衆 Kamui appears in a PR video for Coria del Rio, a city inhabited by samurai descendants!
Four hundred years ago, Sendai feudal lord Date Masamune sent a delegation led by Shikura Tsunenaga to Europe, and several of their descendants stayed in this city without returning to Japan.
And even today, there are people with the surname Hapon living in Coria del Rio, who are descendants of the Samurai and are thought to have inherited their blood.
In the fall of 2016, 剱伎衆 Kamui members, including leader Tetsuro Shimaguchi, were invited by the local community to shoot this video.
Kamui and Kendō members will revisit Coria del Rio this fall!
